Good to know
- Use a fresh cup per batch. Residue from a prior mix changes cure and can pull color into the next batch.
- Do not mix polyester filler on cardboard. A non-porous cup or board keeps resin from wicking out and changing the way the patch cures.
- Order lids with cups if the batch is traveling or going to a customer as a color sample.
About the TCP Global Mixing Cup
The TCP Global 1 pint mixing cup is the small-batch cup crews use for patch mixes, touch-ups, tint and color samples, and any time you need to measure a two-part product accurately without opening a full kit.
Small-batch accuracy is where a lot of repair work goes wrong. Eyeballing a ratio in a random container is how a patch ends up under-catalyzed and soft, or over-catalyzed and brittle, and either result eventually shows through the finished floor. A proper cup gives you a consistent, disposable, non-porous container to mix in.
Use a clean cup each time. Residue from a previous batch changes cure and pulls color, and there is no reason to risk a floor over a cup that costs about a dollar. Pair with a lid if the cup is leaving the job as a sample or riding in a truck.
What it is used for
- Mixing small patch and repair batches
- Measuring two-part products accurately by ratio
- Mixing tint and color samples for clients
- Touch-up work after a floor is installed
Questions about this product
What is a pint mixing cup used for on coating jobs?
A TCP Global 1 pint mixing cup is used for small resin batches, patch and touch-up mixes, and tint or color samples. It gives you a clean, non-porous, disposable container so two-part products can be measured and mixed at the correct ratio every time.
Can I reuse a mixing cup?
Use a fresh cup for each batch. Cured or partially cured residue in a used cup changes how the next mix cures and can pull color into it. At about a dollar a cup, reusing one is not worth the risk on a floor a customer is paying for.
Do mixing cups come with lids?
Lids are sold separately from the TCP Global pint mixing cup. Order the matching TCP Global pint lid if you plan to seal a color sample for a client or move a small batch in a truck, and match the lid to the cup brand you stock.
