What this machine does is straightforward. It is the dust extraction side of a concrete grinding operation, pulling dust away from the tool as it is created so it does not end up in the operator's lungs, in the building, or on the floor you are about to coat. Every grinding job that is not wet is a dust job, and the vacuum is what determines whether that dust is controlled.

Size the extractor to the grinder, and size the hose to both. Pairing a vacuum with a machine is not a matter of buying the biggest available, it is a matter of matching airflow to the shroud and hose you are actually running. A large extractor connected through undersized or overlong hose delivers less at the tool than a smaller one plumbed correctly.
