About the Midwest Rake® Wooster SherLock Pole
The Sherlock pole extends and locks securely in place, and the hexagonal inner pole prevents twisting. That second point is the whole reason to buy this pole rather than a cheap one. A round inner pole lets the head rotate under load, so the roller or squeegee you set square to the floor slowly goes out of square while you are pulling material, and you end up steering the tool instead of steering the coating.
The secure lock matters for the same reason. A pole that creeps shorter mid-pass changes your working angle, and on a coating with a limited open time there is no going back to fix the streak that leaves. Set the length, lock it, and it stays.
Available in R055, R091 and R056, with 4 to 8 foot and 6 to 12 foot ranges. Choose by the work. A 4 to 8 foot range is the everyday pole for rolling a garage or shop floor from a comfortable standing position. The 6 to 12 foot range is for reaching across sections you do not want to walk into, high work and wide commercial floors where you are trying to cover the field without stepping off your line.
