Duravel DV-30™ 30% Solids Clear Acrylic Sealer

Duravel DV-30 is a premium 30% solids acrylic concrete sealer that delivers a high-gloss, non-yellowing finish. It enhances color, improves adhesion, resists marring and is formulated to make recoating easy. It is sold in 1 gallon and 5 gallon units for concrete and overlay surfaces.

DV-30 is a topical sealer, and that is the first thing to be clear about. A topical acrylic forms a film on the surface. It changes the look of the floor, and on decorative work that is the entire objective: color goes deeper, the surface reads wet and finished, and stamped or stained detail comes forward. This is a different animal from a penetrating silane or siloxane treatment, which soaks in, leaves the appearance essentially unchanged and offers no gloss. If a customer wants the floor to look better, they want an acrylic. If they want protection with no visual change at all, they want a penetrating product instead.

Solids content is what you are paying for. At 30% solids, 70 percent of what is in the pail carries the resin and then leaves. Higher solids builds more film per coat than a thin low-solids acrylic, which is why DV-30 sits at the premium end of the acrylic category.

Non-yellowing matters more than most spec sheets admit. Cheap acrylics amber over time, and on a white or light gray overlay, on a light stain, or anywhere sunlight hits, that yellow shift is the failure everybody notices. Duravel formulates DV-30 to hold clear.

Acrylic sealers are maintenance coatings by design, and DV-30's easy recoat is the practical advantage. A worn or scuffed acrylic floor can generally be cleaned and recoated rather than stripped to bare concrete, so the renewal cycle is a scheduled maintenance visit instead of a rebuild. Plan on periodic recoating in traffic areas. That is normal for the product class, not a defect. Follow Duravel's instructions for coverage, application and recoat timing on your specific job.
