Duravel TSO™ Decorative Concrete Overlay

Duravel TSO is a heavy-duty decorative cement overlay that restores and enhances concrete surfaces. It is self-bonding, it is an add-water-only mix, it can be integrally colored with Duravel Overlay Color Packs, and it is applied with standard tools to create custom textures and finishes. It ships in 50 lb bags.

TSO sits in the middle of the Duravel overlay line, and that position is the reason to buy it. It is heavier duty than a thin microcement skim, and it is built for appearance in a way a purely traffic-rated mix is not. Decorative floors, patios, pool decks, entries and commercial spaces that have to look designed and still take real use are its territory.

Self-bonding is the practical headline. It bonds to prepared concrete on its own, which removes a separate bonding step and the failure modes that come with it, such as a bond coat flashing off before material lands on it. Fewer steps means fewer places for a crew to lose a floor.

Add water only keeps mixing honest across a large pour. There is no resin ratio to blow, and a crew can run consistent batches all day. Water content still controls strength and working characteristics, so measure it every time.

Texture is where TSO earns its keep. It works with standard tools, so trowels, brooms, texture skins, stamps and hand tools your crew already owns produce the finish. The look is the installer's decision, not a product SKU. Combine that with integral color from Overlay Color Packs and you get a floor colored all the way through, so chips and traffic wear expose more of the same color rather than gray cement underneath.

Prep still governs the result. Clean and profile the slab, with a product like Duravel ECP, and repair unsound or moving concrete before placing material. Once cured, TSO can be stained with Duravel In-Fluence for surface depth, and it needs to be sealed. Follow Duravel's mixing, thickness and cure instructions for your job.
