Rhino metal bond tool plates in a 7 inch size, for aggressive concrete grinding. Metal bond is the heavy end of the tooling range. It is what you run when you need to take material off, level a slab, remove old surface or open concrete that has been closed by troweling, and it is the family of tooling that does the actual work on most coating prep jobs.

Metal bond cuts, resin polishes. Those are different jobs. Metal bond plates are what create the surface profile a coating manufacturer specifies, because they cut into the concrete rather than burnishing it. Resin steps come afterward, and only if you are polishing. On a straight coating install you often never need a resin step at all, which is a point plenty of buyers get wrong and then wonder why their epoxy will not bond.

As with all grinder tooling, the bond hardness has to match the slab and it runs backwards from intuition. Soft bond belongs on hard concrete because it erodes fast enough to keep exposing fresh diamond. Hard bond belongs on soft concrete because a soft bond on soft slab just disappears. If your tooling is glazing over and stops cutting, the bond is too hard for the slab. If it is disappearing at an alarming rate, it is too soft.

Confirm fitment before you order. At 7 inches these plates need to match your machine's mounting and rotation, and plate patterns are not shared across manufacturers.
